ALTAR SERVER TRAINING COMING UP

Fr. Joe just sent out the following letter to all 5th-8th grade students in the school, RE and in a homestudy or homeschooling program. These letters, with a registration form attached, were given to students in class this week, but if for some reason your child did not bring one home, please e-mail me and I can send you an attachment. akitching@stachurch.net

Dear Parents and Middle School Students,

One of the privileges extended to you at St. Thomas Aquinas* is the opportunity to serve our priests during Sunday and Holy Day liturgy as an Altar Server. With this privilege comes the responsibility of being trained and the commitment to do the task to the best of your ability. This includes being reliable when you are scheduled and to be prompt and attentive when you serve. We will do our best to schedule servers for the mass times most convenient for the family to attend. Please sign up only for the times that work for your family.

Three different training sessions have been scheduled. You may pick the time that works best for you. Please call the parish office at 351-7215 to reserve a space at the training session of your choice. You will need to call or send in the bottom portion of this letter to the Religious Education or parish office BEFORE you come for training. Fr. Joe will be conducting the training, assisted by Fr. Mike and Deacon Murray..

*MSU students serve Mass at the St. John site.

Training will be held at the following times:

Tuesday, November 17th 2009 3:00-4:00 ______

Wednesday, November 18th 3:00-4:00 ______

Saturday, November 21st 10:00 am -11:00am
