THE JESSE TREE - ANOTHER ADVENT TRADITION

ADVENT is here!  Most families are familiar with the Advent Wreath, a wonderful Advent tradition.

Here is another - The Jesse Tree.

The Jesse Tree focuses on those who came before Jesus...his "faith-family tree".    Since we do quite a bit with the Old Testaments stories in grades 3, 4 and 6 this might be a meaningful idea for your family. 

You can do the Jesse Tree with an actual "tree"; you can even put the symbols on your Christmas Tree.  Or, you can do something else (how about sticking them on the fridge?)
